2007 City of Angels Ride

Is that time again for my favorite fun ride. I’ve been riding the City of Angels fun ride for 4 years and it keeps getting better every year. They have divided the ride on rider’s skill level, advanced and recreational. The advanced ride is about 40 something miles at 15-17 mph pace, NO KIDDING!!! The recreational ride is 30 something miles at about 10-15mph. This year I have signed up for the recreational ride due to some knee problems that I’ve been battling. For those riders that think that this is another ‘LA Marathon/Acura Bike tour’ type of ride, think again. The ride is longer and the terrain is hillier and you do have to ride at the caravan’s speed. I highly recommend this ride to all riders that want to see Los Angeles from a man-powered two wheeled perspective. I’ll be the Bike Geek riding the KHS F20-R in a KHS jersey, hope to see you there.

We checked out the Downhill Racers on Sunday

Bikeaholic
My name is Moe Ramirez and I’m a bikeaholic….
There comes a time that I just can’t resist owning a rare bike, such is the case of my new acquisition: A Pinarello Track Bike.

The bike features a Durace drivetrain, Campy headset and hubs, a leather Univega Saddle and Tubular silk tires. This bike has been mostly ridden on the Encino Velodrome so it is in Pristine Condition.

Since this is a pure track racing bike, there are no holes to install brakes, so until I master the art of stopping with the pedals, the bike will see few street miles. Who knows, maybe I’ll try riding it on a Track one of these days.

The Bike Geek is featured on Road Bike Action Magazine

So there I was on the throne checking out the Premier issue of Road Bike Action Magazine, when I turned to page 20 and:

OK, so they forgot the THE from the website address, but my calculators have been featured on other sites before like www.bikeculture.com so I’m pretty sure that it is my calculator that they are talking about. How about that!!!
