Geek,

You are violating one of the top four rules for Bike Month.

Well, they're my rules. Actually, just recommendations.

I have to say, the <a href="http://www.montaguebikes.com/" / rel="nofollow">folding is great for my commute. Although I don't always need to take the train part way, it's so convenient when I do.

Great tips here. I've been commuting to work for about a year now and I'm so happy I made the change. I have a colleague who has a longer commute but drives part way and bikes the rest. He uses a folding he just keeps in his trunk made by Montague Bikes. They're full size performance bikes but fold down. Really neat stuff. Check them out at http://www.montaguebikes.com/

Well, it will all depend how much juice you have used before you hit the uphill. It will also depend on how long the hill is. When I rode the Torker it sustained the power very well during the short freeway overpasses. This bike does not regenerate energy when you pedal or when you brake or while you are cruising.

Sounds great my wife and I are thinking of getting one and live about a mile up a paved moderate hill. How do you think the bike would perform up the hill? Would there be enough to power one all the way up? Does the bike recharge as you pedal or on a down hill if you want?

I liked this so I bookmarked http://www.thebikegeek.net/2008/01/24/rat-rod-bikes at Stumbleupon.com so my friends can view it as well. I simply used Rat Rod Bikes | The Bike Geek as the link title in my post,I figured it would be a great way to spread the word about this great post. Please email me back at Stolze1527@gmail.com if there is anything else I can do to help.
